My Savior AND Meet Me on Monday!

Remember the little incident I had with the June Bugs?  Well, it seems as though my prayers have been answered.  After being afraid to venture into my yard all weekend because of the swarm of June Bugs dive bombing my house, God realized what a chicken I am and sent me a solution to my predicament.

This adorable little guy on the right showed up in my yard and had a grand old time chasing all the June Bugs away.  I assume he was eating them as well because when I sent my son outside to leave food for our feline friend, the dish remained untouched.  Only the flies were enjoying the feast.

So, thanks to my feline savior I will once again be able to leave for work in the morning without making a mad dash for the car while screaming my head off  like a lunatic!

OK, now it's time for the 6th edition of Java's "Meet Me On Monday!" Blog Hop.

Here are the questions for this week:

1. What is your favorite sandwich?

Hmmmmm....  Maybe Grilled Cheese.  I pretty much love ANYTHING with cheese!

2. What is stashed under your bed/mattress?

My supplies from when I made printed ribbons and favor capias.

3. What is your favorite flower?

I love all wildflowers.

4. What is your favorite magazine?

I would have to say Guideposts.  I just love to read the inspirational stories.  If I'm having a bad day, it lifts my spirits when I see it waiting for me in the mailbox.

5. How often do you weigh yourself?

As infrequently as possible!  The scale is my ENEMY!

Glad your bug problem is over. I love Gude Post too. I think my dad used to get that when I was in high school.

I just loved the story about the cat and the june bugs, so is the cat now staying at your home, or just an infrequent visitior.

My wife loves grilled cheese sandwiches as do I.

Weigh myself, what's that?

Tamirisc - Although I would love to take the little guy in, I am not in a position to welcome any new animals into my life right now. I humanely trap him in order to get him neutered and then I will continue to feed him when he comes to visit my yard (although I don't know if he will WANT to venture into my yard after I trap and neuter him!). Right now, he is not friendly but with time maybe I can tame him and find him a loving home. :-)

LOL about the june bugs! When we lived in SC the boys would take their bats out and take swings at them!
We don't seem to have them in Tn., which I'm very thankful for!

Mary,
If the cat leaves my yard I may consider moving to Tn.! :-)

I'm glad I've never met a Junebug! We get a bug a Christmas called the Christmas beetle with little legs that seem to stick to you - yuk! Although they always make me sing 'The Ugly Bug Ball' in my head.

I am glad we don't have issues with Junebugs like you do! Stopping by from iFellowship!

Hi, thank you for visiting and following my blog "Reflections by Kathy".
I came over to visit, and I can already tell that we will be good blogging friends!
You are an animal lover! Yay, for our pets.
I read the post about Nikko, and cried over the poem at the end. What a lovely poem! I'd never heard it before.
I am now following you as well, via my second blog. (I'll be the one known as Maddie/CadesMiMi in your followers)
Looking forward to getting to know you better :) (Kathy)

Living, as I do, in the Deep South, Junebugs are just a tiny portion of our insect population. At night, they feed on tender vegetation, like the plants in my little rust garden. They haven't been so bad this year. This heat must be affecting them, as well as us humans.

Loved you MMOM answers. I wish I could stay away from my scale, but alas, I am a daily weigher. Maybe I can find a 12 step program..................cj

Wow! I love your blog! I'm visiting for the 1st time from iFellowship - but I'll definitely be back! I'm going to follow too!

Okay - I weigh myself every week - I know I know! Don't get me started. And under my bed is a place of storage - for things I should probably just part with to begin with!

Wish I could stay longer - but I gotta go and lead a Women's bible study at my church!

Come see me too @ Living Above!

your sis in the faith,
Penny

Ewww we don't have any June bug and they don't sound very nice! Great solution though!!

My 2nd fav sandwich is Grilled Cheese too! Yum! I've never read Guideposts! I will have to look for that!

Thanks for the tip on Aleve! I work next to a Rite Aid so I will have to stop in and get some!
